Will the development have access to the 911 emergency
services?
Yes. The development will be registered and served by the Ashe County 911
emergency system.
Can I buy a larger tract of land?
Yes. You may combine several lots to acquire the desired tract.
What is a
warranty deed?
A warranty deed is the most often used document to transfer title to your
property and warrants the title to be good at the time of closing.
How soon can I
build on my property?
You may start building as soon as you close. We will give you the deed to
your property. There is no time frame for building. You may build at any
time you desire.
What is a title
insurance policy?
A title insurance policy insures your ownership of the property and shows
the condition of the title. Title insurance protects you against loss and
lawsuits due to title defects, errors or incomplete facts, and is available
for a small one time fee paid at closing.
How far is it to
the nearest city?
Jefferson, the nearest city, is approximately 12 miles from the development.
May I place a
mobile home on my property?
No. Deed restrictions do not allow trailers or mobile homes. The intended
purpose of this restriction is to maintain architectural harmony and the
value of the development.
Who will
maintain the roads and common areas?
North Carolina Dreams Property Owners Association will assess and collect
maintenance fees for roads and common areas. This will insure that the
community will be properly maintained for the enjoyment of all property
owners and guests. It is initially anticipated that a small yearly fee of
$125 will be adequate to accomplish this task.
How does your
financing work?
We can finance a large percentage of the purchase price. We ask you to
supply us with basic credit information and the down payment. Upon receipt
of these items, our closing department will prepare the final paperwork for
your review and signature.
Where can I
obtain financing for my new home?
We highly recommend Ashe Federal Bank, located in the town of Jefferson.

Is there a
hospital nearby?
Yes. Ashe Memorial Hospital is located in Jefferson approximately 12.6 miles
from the entrance of the development. It is a comprehensive facility
offering the latest medical care, medical equipment, and is fully accredited
by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals. Services include a
Cardiac Monitoring Unit, General Surgery, 24 hour Emergency Room, high-tech
mammography equipment and numerous outpatient services.
Will I be
responsible for mowing and trimming my lot?
No. Until you build your home, it is not necessary to trim or mow the lot
since it will be kept with its natural vegetation.
